I have worked extremely hard to receive an OFSTED ‘Outstanding’ grade and will continue to work hard to provide the best care I can to the children who attend my setting. When I first opened as a Childminder in 2007 I thought long and hard about how I was going to run my setting. As a parent, what would I want for my own child? My knowledge and experience has grown immensely over the years and I am proud to offer not just a setting that provides a home from home, but one that is also diverse and rich with opportunity for learning through play and everyday experiences.

British Values It’s so important for a Childminder to be a good role model for children so that they learn kindness, respect and tolerance for others. Clear boundaries, learning to take turns and share, positive behaviour reinforcement, making their own choices where possible and regular exposure to different cultures are just some of the ways we can teach them about British Values.

There’s something special about building a bond with each child and being someone they can trust and rely on. It’s a privilege to be part of their journey, even if it’s just for a short time. Knowing that parents feel reassured leaving their little ones with me means the world.

The EYFS is the framework I follow to support your child’s learning and development from birth to five. It helps me plan fun, age appropriate activities that cover all the key areas of early learning.

Closer Bonds

Children often form closer bonds because they’re with the same trusted adult every day. The setting is less overwhelming than a busy nursery, and routines can be more in tune with what the child is used to.
